Summer pavilion      + 1 / 12

The aim of the project was to construct an architectural framework to host diverse cultural events for two summer seasons in the courtyard of the Slovak National Gallery.
The result generates a specific spatial condition, it determines the central area surrounded by border of cells made of 4x4x4 meters scaffolding to contain various activities. The pavilion itself is an object of ambivalent presence – monumental in its scale but at the same time almost invisibly subtle.
